Estate cleanouts and downsizing help in the Kansas City Northland

North of the river, Kansas City stretches across Clay and Platte counties, and a lot of family homes there have been lived in for decades. When one has to be cleared, here's what the city will do and where we take over.

What Kansas City's free bulky pickup covers

Kansas City picks up bulky items for free, by appointment, at single family homes and small apartment buildings. Each appointment is limited to 15 items and 500 pounds, and nothing is collected without an appointment. That's a good deal for a couch and a mattress. A full house is hundreds of items.

Where bulky pickup items end up

The city says it plainly: items collected at curbside bulky pickup go to the landfill. If your parent's furniture is still good, that's a waste. We coordinate vendors to sort first, donate suitable items, and haul what's left.

Who coordinates the work

Dustin Williams organizes your project and manages the vendors doing the physical work. He's been hauling since 2023 and also owns Grateful Hauling and Delivery.

Do you only work in the Northland?

No. We cover the whole Kansas City metro in Missouri and Kansas.

Is there a minimum job size?

There's no minimum project size. Hauling-only jobs go through Grateful Hauling and Delivery, with pricing based on volume.

When can you work?

Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. Saturday and Sunday are by appointment.
